TPS - Telephone Preference Service Screening -

The TPS is a register of telephone numbers belonging to Private Individuals, Sole Traders and (except in Scotland) Partnerships who do not wish to receive unsolicited Sales and Marketing Calls. If you make an uninvited Sales or Marketing call to a number on the TPS register you could be liable for a £5000 fine.


CTPS - Corporate Telephone Preference Service Screening

The CTPS is a register of telephone numbers (including DDI numbers) for Corporate Subscribers (companies, schools, charities, government departments etc) who do not wish to receive unsolicited Sales and Marketing Calls. If you make an uninvited Sales or Marketing call to a number on the CTPS register you could be liable for a £5000 fine.


FPS - Fax Preference Service Screening

It is unlawful to send an unsolicited fax to an Individual, Sole Trader or (exxcept in Scotland) Partnership without their express permission. In addition, it is unlawful to send an unsolicited fax to any fax number which appears on the FPS Register. If you ignore the FPS legislation you could be liable for a £5000 fine per unsolicited fax transmitted.


MPS - Mailing Preference Service Screening

The Mailing Preference Service, or MPS, is a directory of individuals who do not wish to receive 'unsolicited' or 'junk' mail.

It is free for individuals to place their names on the register as the service is funded by those companies accessing the file and suppressing their mailing lists.
