Bearing in mind that there are approximately 45 million adults in the UK residing in approximately 25 million households and every year about 3.35 million people move
On average 5% - 10% of your customers and prospects will move every single year
The Xpression File (formally NSF), was introduced by the Direct Marketing Association in March 2001 to solve this very problem.
The Xpression File combines the information currently found in the Royal Mail's National Change Of Address (NCOA) File, the Read Group'sGone Away Suppression (GAS) File and Postal Returns, and Acxiom's Purity Database.
Data is captured and updated quarterly from a variety of sources in direct marketing activity where an individual states that they now live at a new address.
The NSF File has been the UK's market leading suppression product for the last 5 years and identifies over 94% of all home movements. Xpression has incorporated all of the old NSF data.
The Xpression file holds details of movers from the past 2 years and contains approximately 12 million records.
