It is unlawful to make an unsolicited selling or marketing call, or send a fax to anybody who has indicated that they do not wish to receive such a call or fax.
Individuals or companies who do not wish to receive these calls (or faxes) put their telephone or fax number on either the TPS, CTPS or FPS Register.
Individuals who do not want to receive unsolicited 'Direct Mail' can place their name and address on the MPS (Mailing Preference Service) Register. Whilst it is good practice to screen your mailing list against the MPS register it is not currently a legal requirement.
