Preference Service Screening
It is unlawful to make an unsolicited selling or marketing call, or send a fax to anybody who has indicated that they do not wish to receive such a call or fax.
This is done by placing the telephone or fax number on either the TPS, CTPS or FPS Register.
Individuals who do not want to receive unsolicited 'Direct Mail' can place their name and address on the MPS Register, however it is not currently a legal requirement to screen against the MPS but good practice.
