The DMA's Xpression Gone Away Suppression File

DMA's Xpression File

The Xpression File (formally The National Suppression File NSF), was introduced by the Direct Marketing Association in March 2001.

The Xpression File combines the information currently found in the Royal Mail's National Change Of Address (NCOA) File, the Read Group's Gone Away Suppression (GAS) File Postal Returns and Acxiom's Purity Database.

Data is captured and updated quarterly from a variety of sources in direct marketing activity where an individual states that they now live at a new address.

The Xpression File, as the NSF, has been one of the UK's market leading suppression product for the last 5 years and identifies over 94% of all home movements.

The Xpression File holds details of movers from the past 2 years and contains approximately 12 million records.
